Growing up in her father’s architecture firm, Kira Dong knew from a young age that Architecture & Design was for her. She worked her way up to obtain her Bachelor’s in Interior Design from Sacramento State University and a Master’s in Architecture from Woodbury University. While in school, Kira obtained many internships in the field of Architecture & Interior Design knowing she needed to gain as much experience as possible before accepting a Junior Designer position at her father’s firm, Heney Dong & Associates. Working closely with her father and team, Kira has learned the ins and outs of a successful architecture firm. She soon became a Senior Designer and moved on to become a Project Manager within the firm. She has extensive experience with a wide range of projects including; private medical suites, attorney and law offices, dental suites, ground-up commercial office buildings & some small residential projects.
Within the next few years, Kira’s goal is to become a partner within her father’s firm & transition into ownership. Her aspirations are to expand Heney Dong & Associates within the community and become the face of the company.
