A modern contemporary table that includes the timeless beauty of a live edge slab
The colors inherent in the maple hardwood and the design of the SENTIENT Colorado table suggest the southwest United States. The glass-filled gap between the inverted edges of the spalted maple live edge slab evokes a great river, and the darkened V-legs echo a canyon: the butterfly-shaped leg connectors that tye the two live edge slabs together are reminiscent of traditional joinery methods, yet the overall clean lines of the table are a strong minimalist statement.
A Dining Tables or A Conference Table
Our Colorado table works well both for dining and for office use, inspiring how we work and play, entertain and study. SENTIENT emphasizes customization for this purpose, to utilize the aspects of good design in our everyday living.
From Simple to Exotic Forms
The strength of our Colorado table is its use of form and material. A balance of the organic and the ordered is greatly achieved in this design. The hard edge and the free flow line of a live edge are symbiotic: complementary as yin and yang. Defendant on what one desires, our Colorado table can be aggressive or calm, light or dark according to wood used. The SENTIENT Colorado table is a celebration of the creative mind: a dialogue between nature and human kind.
Colorado Live Edge Table in American Black Walnut
The COLORADO Live Edge Table, with its layering of live edge wood, inset glass, and blackened metal base, is a celebration of contrasts. An homage to nature and human ingenuity, we like to think that Georgia O’Keeffe might have liked to eat upon this table. The maple wood top supported by butterfly-shape legs, further exemplifies its natural influence and nods to traditional woodworking joinery. The tempered glass frames the live edge wood center, giving it prominence as a natural work of art.
