Dustin White is a New York based designer, researcher, and educator. He is the founder of Dustin White Design & Fabrication which is an open and collaborative practice specializing in the development and use of current, new and emerging digital technologies for the design and fabrication of buildings, building components, product design, and experimental installations. Dustin is currently the Director, Digital Technologies and Fabrication at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) School of Architecture and Design. His research and teaching agenda is in the areas of digital fabrication, material experimentation and design. He is concerned with how engineering, materials (such as some of the most impressive hardwood species), and design processes can relate in the built environment through the use of custom software and digital fabrication tools.
