Does SENTIENT work with interior designers and architects?
Yes. SENTIENT works directly with interior designers and architects on custom furniture and millwork for both residential and commercial projects. Our A&D trade program offers exclusive pricing, dedicated project managers, priority scheduling, and direct collaboration with our design team. Trade partners include firms like Rockwell Group, Gensler, CookFox Architects, and Yabu Pushelberg.
What is SENTIENT’s production capacity for large commercial orders?
SENTIENT’s 25,000 square foot Brooklyn workshop and team of 25 to 30 craftspeople can handle projects at every scale, from a single statement piece to a complete furniture program for a 200-room hotel. We’ve furnished multiple locations for Edition Hotels, Four Seasons, Marriott, and Hyatt. Our capacity comes from decades of experience managing complex, multi-piece projects with strict delivery timelines. See our project portfolio.
Can SENTIENT produce multiples of the same design for a hotel or restaurant?
Yes. SENTIENT regularly produces multiples of the same design for hospitality and commercial projects. We build jigs, templates, and quality control systems that ensure consistency across every piece in a production run. Whether it’s 20 dining tables for a restaurant or 200 nightstands for a hotel, each piece meets the same standard. We’ve done this for projects including Edition Hotels, British Airways lounges, and Four Seasons properties.
What commercial and hospitality clients has SENTIENT worked with?
SENTIENT’s commercial portfolio includes Edition Hotels (London, Miami, New York), Four Seasons, Marriott, Hyatt, 1 Hotels, British Airways airport lounges, Cartier, Porsche, Saks Fifth Avenue, Pace Gallery, United Nations, and many more. We’ve furnished hotel lobbies, guest rooms, restaurants, airline lounges, corporate offices, and retail showrooms. Explore our full project portfolio.
Does SENTIENT have a trade or designer discount program?
Yes. SENTIENT’s trade program is designed for interior designers, architects, stagers, and developers. Benefits include trade-exclusive pricing with progressive discounts based on project volume, a dedicated trade representative, priority workshop scheduling, and access to our full collection and custom design program. Enrollment is available through the trade page.
How does the process differ for commercial vs. residential projects?
Commercial projects at SENTIENT involve additional considerations: commercial-grade construction and materials, fire-retardant upholstery treatments, durability testing for high-traffic use, phased delivery coordination, and FF&E documentation. We also produce samples and prototypes when specified. The design process is the same, but commercial projects are engineered to withstand the demands of public spaces while maintaining a refined appearance. Learn about our hospitality capabilities.
Can SENTIENT handle millwork and built-in fabrication for commercial spaces?
Yes. SENTIENT’s millwork program covers wall paneling, crown moldings, bars, built-in cabinetry, wine storage, reception desks, elevator interiors, and banquette installations. We work from architectural drawings or develop blueprints from measurements and design direction. Millwork projects are common in our hotel, restaurant, and lobby work.
Does SENTIENT provide FF&E specifications and shop drawings?
Yes. For commercial and hospitality projects, SENTIENT provides full FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) documentation including specifications, material call-outs, finish schedules, and detailed shop drawings. These documents are standard for hotel and restaurant projects where general contractors and project managers need precise specifications for coordination. We deliver documentation in the formats your team requires.
What is the typical timeline for a hospitality furniture project?
Hospitality furniture projects at SENTIENT typically take 12 to 16 weeks from design approval to delivery, depending on scope and complexity. Large hotel programs with hundreds of pieces may require longer lead times. We build project-specific production schedules and provide regular progress updates. For time-sensitive openings, we can discuss accelerated timelines based on current workshop capacity. Get in touch to discuss your project schedule.
Can SENTIENT manage multiple deliveries across different locations?
Yes. SENTIENT has experience managing phased deliveries to multiple locations for hotel chains and restaurant groups. We coordinate delivery schedules with building management, general contractors, and installation crews at each site. Our logistics team ensures each delivery arrives on time and in the right sequence. This multi-site coordination is part of what we do for clients like Edition Hotels and British Airways, who have furniture across several locations.
