SENTIENT builds furniture for offices, retail spaces, and galleries where design matters as much as function. We work in solid American hardwoods, custom metalwork, and commercial-grade upholstery, producing everything from conference tables and desks to reception counters and built-in millwork. Each project is designed, fabricated, and finished in our Brooklyn workshop.

Bond Collective | Coworking Space | Gowanus Brooklyn

SENTIENT worked with the architects to build a geometric stairwell installation that doubles as a conference table and counter space. We also built custom millwork for the kitchen, cafeteria, and breakout areas throughout the coworking space.

Porsche | Zentrum Lounge | Monterey, CA

In 2019, SENTIENT partnered with Porsche during Monterey Car Week, furnishing the Zentrum Hospitality Lounge with two red upholstered Nersi sofas, Sapience chairs, and several black walnut live edge coffee tables. The furniture complemented Porsche’s design language while standing up to the demands of a high-traffic event environment.

Honest Beauty by Jessica Alba | Los Angeles

For Jessica Alba’s Honest Beauty retail stores, SENTIENT created custom walnut vitrines, display tables with integrated electrical outlets, and countertops. The brand’s focus on natural ingredients called for materials to match: we used simple forms in American black walnut throughout, letting the warmth and grain of the wood reinforce the brand’s identity.

Krizia | Retail Showroom | Meatpacking District, NYC

Krizia is an Italian fashion house that has been designing high-end clothing since the 1960s. SENTIENT worked with the brand on their flagship retail showroom in the Meatpacking District, right under the Highline in NYC. We utilized space planning and high-quality materials to redefine commercial space furniture for the waiting area, offering a new type of retail experience.

Pace Gallery’s Chelsea flagship tasked SENTIENT with producing custom reception desks in walnut, stone, and lacquered wood. The 75,000 sq ft space houses work by major contemporary artists. Our furniture had to hold its own in that context, built to the same standard of craft and finish.

Commercial Space Furniture for Pearlfisher Offices | SOHO, NYC

When branding firm Pearlfisher opened their SoHo office, they brought SENTIENT aboard. We produced two large conference tables, including our Colorado River table and a custom live edge table with benches, plus upholstered seating for the lounge workspace. The result is a functional, design-forward office built around natural materials.

MPC is a worldwide VFX company that works in film, TV, and commercials. SENTIENT built several custom conference room tables, editing booth consoles, and high-end desks for their New York offices.
