London Edition | Ian Schrager + Yabu Pushelberg

For the premier boutique hotel project London Edition, spearheaded by Ian Schrager + Yabu Pushelberg, SENTIENT created a captivating hospitality furniture assortment. We introduced a number of custom American black walnut sofas in luxurious green velvet, case goods, and solid wood tables of various hardwoods with specialty designs. The project also gave birth to bespoke upholstered banquettes for their restaurant & bar, with exceptional detail befitting of this upscale establishment.

Miami Edition | Ian Schrager + Yabu Pushelberg

Following the design direction of Ian Schrager + Yabu Pushelberg, SENTIENT produced several large communal tables with benches of American black walnut for the second Edition Hotel in Miami. We also manufactured hotel lobby coffee tables, curvilinear banquettes of walnut hardwood, and two white oak Donald Judd-inspired upholstered sofas for the lobby seating area. This is one of our proudest projects, and we cherish the standalone furniture items along with the impressive millwork.

New York Edition | Rockwell Group

For the New York Edition design project conceptualized by Rockwell Group, SENTIENT produced several hardwood communal oak tables, hosting stands for the bars, and upholstered banquettes, in addition to luxury coffee tables, cocktail tables, and pedestaled dining tables in walnut. Local upscale projects like these make us proud of our work, and it was an honor to explore different product categories and bring this creative vision to life.

PUBLIC Hotel New York City | An Ian Schrager Hotel

SENTIENT worked with Ian Schrager to create hotel outdoor furniture and solid wood hotel furniture for the dining area at PUBLIC Hotel in New York City. These pieces included several squared walnut tables with benches for the LOUIS coffee shop, luncheonette, and market. We also created pedestal tables in walnut, custom-made outdoor banquettes, and a lovely Communal table, for the PUBLIC kitchen. Our New York-based studio and workshop united local talent for a sense of community and pride of place, bringing this project to a spectacular finish.

1 Hotels Brooklyn Bridge & Central Park

Within the 1 Hotels Brooklyn Bridge & Central Park project, SENTIENT provided a reclaimed wood beam hotel lobby coffee table designed as live edge ‘cookie’ slabs of Spalted Maple. We also enriched the hotel lobby furniture with custom solid wood cocktail tables, designed with aesthetic excellence and manufactured with great attention to detail. It was invigorating to witness these lobby furniture ideas come to life, anchoring the inspiring and nurturing space reminiscent of Central Park.

Hotel lounge furniture for Nobu Hotel, Epiphany | Palo Alto

Sentient is honored to have been part of the Nobu Hotel, Epiphany design project in Palo Alto. We produced a reclaimed solid wood beam coffee table that pairs exceptionally well with luxury sofas with power outlets. We also brought to life a solid wood indoor/outdoor communal table that anchors the hotel furniture around a theme of natural beauty, through the captivating aesthetic features of natural domestic hardwood.

Paramount Hotel | NYC

SENTIENT worked on the redesign of this classic boutique hotel for Ian Schrager, along with venerable designer Philippe Starck. Producing custom upholstery in the lobby and the bar, as well as architectural millwork for the rooms, we added another local project to New York, the city we call home.
